Surprisingly good ghetto donair place downtown. Seriously the world needs more places like this.

    Parking here sucks until 2200.

The owner is Afghan, not Greek. Basically this means the food has more of a Middle Eastern twist. But one look at the menu and it'll be obvious anyways.

Food is very reasonably priced. Most importantly, this guy doesn't skimp out. My donair was completely stuffed. Plenty of delicious meat slices, and that oh so tasty tzatziki. I was weeping while sinking my teeth in.

Really wish I had known about this place earlier. Definitely will be back to try some of the plates. The pictures sure looked delicious.

First off this should not be called Mr Greek or be confused with an actual Greek restaurant , the name is just to sucker you in.  No Greeks even worked at The the place.

One of the single worst gyro's I've ever tasted. So awful both of us threw them away after a few bites. I was sure I'd be sitting on toilet shortly but I lucked out. I'm not sure what they did but they ruined a simple meal. I mean how hard is it to make a prefect gyro ? In there case it's impossible, all I can say is avoid like your life depends on it. And beside they area is becoming sketchy so no reason to wander in.

If you continue to eat it's on you then!

This place was one of the best shawarma spots in town, but changed ownership and management and everything has went way downhill
Quality is poor now and nothing tastes the same. Event the rice has a bad smell to it now. Wanted to be fair so gave them a few months trial but can't go back as the service is 100% worse to the extent where I was waiting in line recently, with several other people, and the owner comes in, cuts in front of EVERYBODY, and gets served first, while we're all standing there wondering wth just happened. No way to treat customers. Also asked for extra onions and received a dirty look before the lady turns to her co worker, mutters something in her native language and they both laugh. Also this place is filthy and documented for being not in compliance for a number of health infractions: (look at the Vancouver health board site)

Looking for a shawarma/donair place close to work and stopped by Mr Greek Donair Town for an early lunch on a weekday.  The building (both inside and out) is very dated and worn.  The location is on Granville by Davie so the sights are ever changing with the unique eclectic mix of persons in the area.  But one is here for the food and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the reg chicken and it was great value at $6.50 (including tax).  The chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior and was complimented very well with the humus, tzatziki and a little hot sauce.  There was no issue with the service and as I was there early, I was served and was walking out of the door with my order in minutes.  It was just the right portion size for lunch.

With great food, good service and great value, it was a positive food experience and I am happy to recommend Mr Greek Donair Town.

This was a fantastic experience! We ordered the falafel Donair and a chicken salad SOOO good and we appreciate Greek food! They were polite, efficient and the small restaurant was clean!  Lots of locals coming and going, a great alternative to a pricey meal while visiting!
